My Digital Footprint

John Seely Brown

The web has just begun to have an impact on our lives. As fascinated as we are with it today, we’re still seeing it in its early forms… My belief is that not only will the web be as fundamental to society as electrification but that it will be subject to many of the same diffusion and absorption dynamics as that earlier medium.

Apps for Education on Apple & Android devices

By no means definitive, these are some my favourite apps.

Appolicious
The place to discover and share the latest and best iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, and Android apps through social recommendations and reviews from users and the editorial team.  Good 'best apps' list. Covers the whole rang from preschool to business.  This is an excellent place to discover new and popular apps.

AppShopper
Install Appshopper on your iPad to keep track of new apps, specials and updates.  This is the place to find those apps that have price reduction or go 'free' for a limited time.

iPad Apps for Autism
The apps on this link have been selected by the authors of this site (a parent, an adult with autism, and a Special Language Program educator) as being especially suitable for issues relating to autism such as: advocacy, learning, literacy and fun.  Most could also be applied to all ipad users.
