John Seely Brown

The web has just begun to have an impact on our lives. As fascinated as we are with it today, we’re still seeing it in its early forms… My belief is that not only will the web be as fundamental to society as electrification but that it will be subject to many of the same diffusion and absorption dynamics as that earlier medium.

      Established in 2010 through the merger of Curriculum Corporation and Education.au to support delivery of national priorities and initiatives in the schools, training and Higher Education sectors.
    • EdNA - Education Network Australia (Aus)
      A division of Education Services Australia (above), EdNA is Australia's free online network for educator providing teaching resources and community.
    • TeachHub.com (USA)
      A source of news, recommendations and teaching resources created by teachers, for teachers. Membership free, some paid content.
    • We Are Teachers (USA)
      A community of educators with the opportunity to win cash rewards for creative initiatives for teaching projects. Facebook presence and strong community of users.
    • Khan Academy (USA)
      A not-for-profit organisation with commitment to open education resources. This is a virtual learning resource with user-paced exercises presently predominantly maths and science but growing.
    • NSW Country Areas Program (CAP) (Aus)
      Resourcing school in rural and outback NSW, this site is a rich source of learning resources.
    • FUSE - Dept of Education & Early Childhood Development
      Learning portal of the Victorian Education Dept for students and educators
    • BBC Learning - Teachers, Parents, Students (UK)
      Gateway to learning resources across all year levels from the BBC. Time spent exploring this site will be rewarded with learning support materials.
    • Teacher Tap
      Professional development & online courses. Includes tech resources, literacy, literature, libraries, teaching and learning. By the very talented Annette Lamb & Larry Johnson.
    • Kathy Schrock's guide for educators
      Kathy has been contributing resources to educators since the 1990's. This site has a wealth of strategies, templates and links on every topic imaginable.

      Many innovative ideas on this site. Suited to primary and middle school students.

      Tom March has selected for this site examples of webquests that fulfil correct design criteria for webquests.
    • Read Write Think
      Lesson plans and incredibly good interactives that can be applied to any k-12, particularly junior to middle school classroom - reading, writing, poetry, thinking. Excellent resource

      This site is a rich, although somewhat disorganised, resource. Includes drawing prompts, art & design curriculum resources.
