Distributed free of charge in Western Australian, this journal is available on subscription to anyone. It's a reviewing journal tha is a useful selection and buying guide for secondary schools and other institutions serving teenagers.

Australian guide to children's fiction, short stories and poetry from around the world.
Reading Time
This is the Children's Book Council of Australia quarterly journal that reviews all books for children and young people published in Australia, as well as overseas books of quality, particularly New Zealand titles. You can't sample it online but can get the ordering information from here. Well worth a subscription.
The Looking glass: new perspectives on children's books
Canadian online journal of children's literature that combines an interest in the traditional with an eye to the modern.

Notes from the windowsill
Some extensive bibliographies of reviews are a valuable feature of this site. Eg. Skin and bones: body image in children's books. Site author Wendy E. Betts is the former editor of The WEB. These are excellent, orginal reviews.

The Lion and the unicorn
A scholarly journal of children's literature. Exerpt of articles only is available with full text through Project MUSE subscribing libraries. Many Australian libraries have access to these articles.

Viewpoint
This is a publication of the Faculty of Education, Department of Education, University of Melbourne. Contributions include in-depth reviews of young adult fiction, discerning articles about writers and writing plus booknotes reviews.
