My Digital Footprint

John Seely Brown

The web has just begun to have an impact on our lives. As fascinated as we are with it today, we’re still seeing it in its early forms… My belief is that not only will the web be as fundamental to society as electrification but that it will be subject to many of the same diffusion and absorption dynamics as that earlier medium.

What's the Time?

What's the time in your part of the world?  What time would suit our group to meet? Tell me when 10 minutes is up.  Collaboration is very much about being able to meet at a single time from anywhere in the world.  It's also about counting down to a kick off.  These tools will assist. They are all similar so the one you choose will really be a matter of preference.

World Time Server
Shows current time and date in cities and countries in all time zones, automatically adjusted for local Daylight Saving Time rules. Convert times from one location to another or even check current international weather conditions.  I've used this one personally for many years.

TimeandDate.com
Contains time zone and date converters, world clock, calendar etc.  One very handy tool is the Event Time Announcer to show local times worldwide for your event.  Mobile device apps available.

Digital Powerpoint Timer
This timer has been created and animated within PowerPoint. Use it to make sure that delegates know when the next session is going to start, and entirely how long they can spend sipping coffee and checking their email. Select the starting slide of your choice, and watch the count down to zero.
